Andrea J Tyler was born and raised in Grants Pass, Oregon and attended University of Oregon for her undergraduate degree in Journalism. However, she switched mid course and finished her undergraduate studies at Arcadia University in Pennsylvania with a major in mathematics and minor in secondary education. She moved to New Orleans in August 2007 from Pennsylvania to teach high school mathematics.
While in New Orleans, she quickly became engrossed with New Orleans and fell in love with the architecture, culture and people. Within months, she made a commitment to take on a career in real estate. Now she is focused on rebuilding Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard and St. Tammany parishes while educating prospective buyers, renters and sellers every step of the way. She joined Prudential Gardner Realtors in June 2008 when the New Orleans East office finally re opened since Katrina. Excited about joining an office who had to rebuild themselves, she is determined and motivated to fill communities that once were desolate. Her first year in real estate, Andrea was honored with Rookie of the Year from New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors. She specializes in many areas of sale which include being an Affordable Housing Specialist and enjoys working with first time home buyers, investors and homeowners needing help. As a member of the National Association of REALTORS, Louisiana REALTORS and a member of New Orleans Metropolitan Association of REALTORS, she is committed to service all of your residential and investment real estate needs. She has earned many designations which include Accredited Buyer Representative, Real Estate Negotiation Expert, Seller Representative Specialist, Performance Management Network, 2014 Women's Council of Realtors Member of the Year Award, published in City Business "Ones to Watch," 2016 Gardner's Service to the Industry Lifetime Recipient and 2017 New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors Rising Star Nominee, and 2018 Women's Council of REALTORS New Orleans Metropolitan Past President, and 2019 Women's Council of Realtors Member of the Year.
While building her business, Andrea has enjoyed speaking to many youth in area schools during career week and truly believes in giving back to your community. While a member of Women's Council of Realtors, she has stepped in as the Education & Program Chair, Secretary, President Elect and President where she coordinated educational topics, raised funds and signified the importance of the mission to advance women in their careers. Currently, she's a Past President and is excited about becoming more involved in organizations that promote growth. Her background in education and mathematics contributes to her detailed orientated work ethic as well as dedication to customer service. Her devotion is exemplified in every transaction and patience with her five beautiful children and handsome husband.
